Adding surface textures takes less than two minutes:
Step 1: Load Your Model

2. Drag and drop your **STL, 3MF, OBJ, or STEP** file into the browser.
Step 2: Select Your Texture & Mapping
1. Pick a preset texture from the sidebar (or click **Upload Custom**).
2. Select a **Projection Mode**:
* **Triplanar (Default):** Best for organic or complex shapes.
* **Cylindrical:** Ideal for handles, mugs, or tubes.
* **Cubic:** Perfect for box-like geometric objects.
Step 3: Adjust the Settings
1. **Scale & Angle:** Scale the pattern size up or down and rotate the projection angle.
2. **Depth:** Set the displacement height (0.3 mm to 0.8 mm works best for 3D printing).
3. **Smoothing:** Apply slight blur if you prefer rounded transitions over sharp ridges.
Step 4: Protect Smooth Areas
* **Angle Mask:** Enable the angle threshold to automatically clear flat top/bottom surfaces.
* **Paint Mask:** Use the built-in brush tool to manually paint areas green (texture only these faces) or orange (exclude from texturing).
