16 filaments. 4 toolheads. 1 Snapmaker U1

In this video, you will see a demonstrationof the BMCU-Klipper running four BMCU units with 16 independent filament channels routed across all four U1 toolheads.

Because BMCU-Klipper keeps G-code planning and transport outside the main Klipper reactor, it can pre-stage and handle filament changes in the background without blocking your print.

What’s in this video:

  • Rooting the Snapmaker U1 & BMCU firmware flashing
  • 24V power, USB/TTL wiring, and PTFE splitter setup
  • Independent per-channel toolhead routing (route any channel to any head)
  • Load/unload, tip forming, buffer calibration, and OrcaSlicer setup
  • Background prestaging & automatic refill
  • Full 16-filament test print

Built for the Snapmaker U1 ecosystem (and adaptable to Generic Klipper).
