HOW TO INSTALL COMFYUI EASY INSTALL AND RUN THE TRIPOSPLAT IMAGE TO 3D TEMPLATE

PART 1: INSTALL

  1. Download the ComfyUI Easy Install zip and extract it somewhere you can find again. Yours is in Downloads, in a folder called ComfyUI-Easy-Install. Inside is a second folder with the same name. That second one is the main folder.
  2. In the main folder you will see a ComfyUI folder, an Add-Ons folder, and a file called Start ComfyUI.bat.
  3. Start ComfyUI by searching ComfyUI-EZi Desktop in the Start menu, or by double-clicking Start ComfyUI.bat. Leave any black console window open the whole time. That window is the real server. The app or browser is just the screen.
  4. If you ever see a red Reconnecting banner, the server stopped. Close everything and start it again.

PART 2: LOAD THE TEMPLATE

  1. Click Templates in the left sidebar.
  2. Open the one called 3d_triposplat_image.
  3. Red nodes and a Setup required panel are normal on the first try. It just means model files are missing.

PART 3: THE MODEL FILES

The template needs 5 models, about 3.5 GB total. The Download buttons saved them to the regular Windows Downloads folder instead of ComfyUI, so ComfyUI could not see them. Move each file by hand.

Go to this folder:

Downloads > ComfyUI-Easy-Install > ComfyUI-Easy-Install > ComfyUI > models

Put each file in its matching subfolder:

flux2-vae.safetensors goes in vae

triposplat_vae_decoder_fp16.safetensors goes in vae

triposplat_fp16.safetensors goes in diffusion_models

birefnet.safetensors goes in background_removal

dino_v3_vit_h.safetensors goes in clip_vision

If background_removal does not exist, make a new folder with that exact name.

Leave the little placeholder files like put_vae_here alone. They are harmless.

To get each file, click Download next to it in the Missing Models list, then find it in your Downloads folder, cut it (Ctrl+X), and paste it (Ctrl+V) into the right folder. Do one at a time. The dino file is 1.57 GB, so give it time.

PART 4: RESTART AND RUN

  1. Close ComfyUI completely, including the black console window.
  2. Start it again.
  3. Open the template again. Missing Models should now be empty.
  4. On the red Load Image node, click choose file to upload and pick a picture of one clear subject on a plain background.
  5. Press the blue Run button. The first run is slow while it loads the models, so give it a few minutes.

PART 5: WHERE YOUR RESULT GOES

ComfyUI saves the result on its own in:

ComfyUI-Easy-Install > ComfyUI > output

You do not need to save the workflow to get it.

PART 6: NEXT TIME

Press Ctrl+S once and name the workflow triposplat. Next time, start ComfyUI, click Workflows in the left sidebar, open triposplat, swap the image, and press Run. The models stay installed.

IF YOU GET ERRORS

Reconnecting banner or Failed to refresh missing models: the server is not running. Restart it.

Models still missing: the file is in the wrong folder or misspelled.

Red Load Image node: no image picked yet.
